La misión y visión de la Universidad de Guadalajara establece la necesidad de impulsar enfoques innovadores de enseñanza-aprendizaje para la generación del conocimiento en beneficio de la sociedad. Ante ello, esta investigación tiene como objetivo identificar las condiciones mínimas al interior de la Universidad que propicien la transferencia de tecnología y conocimiento (principalmente desde la perspectiva legal, tales como la propiedad intelectual y el derecho administrativo) para beneficio público, privado y social. A su vez, permite a cualquier lector identificar las fases previas a este proceso de transferencia (identificación del problema, desarrollo y protección de los resultados), sus principales problemas y algunas propuestas de solución.
