Este volumen pretende acompañar el trabajo del profesor de Comunicación en bachillerato enriqueciendo y precisando la propuesta didáctica de seis libros de texto de la Editorial de la Universidad de Guadalajara: Descripción y comunicación, Comprensión y exposición, Análisis y argumento, Crítica y propuesta, Estilo y corrección y Habilidad verbal. La finalidad es mostrar al profesor una vista panorámica sobre el desempeño que puede esperar de sus alumnos en cada semestre y ofrecer un apoyo para beneficiar el aprendizaje significativo por encima de la acumulación del aprendizaje enciclopédico. De esta manera, el profesor podrá evitar repeticiones innecesarias, reforzar el conocimiento adquirido y alentar el progreso de las competencias comunicativas. Al mismo tiempo, podrá dar un sentido más general a los contenidos curriculares de un curso en particular.
