Horizontes decoloniales reúne investigaciones surgidas del diálogo colectivo impulsado por el Seminario de Epistemologías Decoloniales y la Cátedra de la Inter¬culturalidad de la Universidad de Guadalajara, espacios que desde 2008 han buscado cuestionar las jerarquías del conocimiento y abrir caminos hacia otras formas de comprender la realidad.
Desde una perspectiva decolonial, los textos aquí reunidos examinan cómo la colonialidad continúa atravesando la vida contemporánea y, al mismo tiem¬po, cómo pueblos indígenas y otros sujetos históricamente subordina¬dos generan conocimientos, memorias, prácticas de resistencia y hori¬zontes propios de futuro.
A través de estudios sobre mujeres mixes migrantes, juventudes in¬dígenas urbanas, estudiantes universitarios de pueblos originarios, ar¬queología comunitaria, defensa territorial y rap indígena, el volumen propone una mirada plural sobre las relaciones entre identidad, territo¬rio, cuerpo, educación, patrimonio, políticas públicas y creación cultural.
Más que concebir la decolonialidad como una teoría cerrada, esta obra la entiende como un horizonte ético, político y epistemológico des¬de el cual es posible interrogar los relatos dominantes y reconocer otras formas de producir saber.
Estas páginas invitan, así, a pensar desde los márgenes, escuchar otras voces y reconocer que, allí donde existen resistencia, memoria y comunidad, también se produce conocimiento.
