Doctora en Antropología por la Universidad de Montreal. Realizó una estancia posdoctoral en CIESAS Occidente (2016-2017) con el proyecto “Desamortización de bienes civiles en Colotlán, Jalisco, siglo XIX”. Es profesora de la Universidad de Guadalajara, Centro Universitario de Tonalá, participa en el Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales de CIESAS Occidente y es candidata del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores. Sus temas de investigación comprenden el estudio de sociedades rancheras del occidente de México, en particular del norte de Jalisco, desde una perspectiva regional, histórica y antropológica. Además, se interesa en el análisis de las representaciones del poder y del honor, y el estudio del patrimonio cultural en el norte de Jalisco.
